Welcome to Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group!

The history of Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group started well before our name was adopted.  Our practice was started by Dr. Max Weiman in the 1920's.  Dr. Weimann worked as a solo physician until Dr. Ludwig Schlitt joined in 1960.  Dr. Schlitt, along with Dr. Ronald Shissler, moved the practice to the White Horse Pike in Haddon Heights in 1970.  At that same time, the practice incorporated and took on the name of Haddon Pediatric Group.

Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group has continued to care for infants, children, and adolescents throughout southern New Jersey for nearly 100 years. As Dr. Schlitt passed the torch to his children, Dr. Mike, Dr. Mark, and Dr. Stephanie,  and now grandchildren, Dr. Ray, they and their colleagues have continued his tradition of providing excellent pediatric care throughout South Jersey. Over the past few decades, we've expanded and improved upon our main Haddon Heights location several times to accommodate our growing practice. To better serve our patients in and around Camden and Gloucester Counties, we also have our beautiful and spacious satellite facility in Mullica Hill, New Jersey.

Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group delivers ongoing, comprehensive care for all aspects of your child's health–from the newborn nursery at Virtua Voorhees hospital, where all of our physicians are on staff–to routine well visits where we'll monitor your child's growth and development from birth through college. Whether you have questions about your newborn's feeding schedule or your teenager's school performance, our medical staff is dedicated to consistent, warm, and professional care.

We also manage many ongoing health issues and coordinate care with medical and psychological specialists as necessary. To ensure that your child receives superior care, our relationships with expert pediatric specialists extend from those in our own southern New Jersey community to children's hospitals throughout the region, including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Nemours Children’s Hospital, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

Our six board certified physicians and three pediatric nurse practitioners each have visits reserved every day for urgent issues and illnesses, so all concerns can be addressed quickly. We all enjoy the work we do and share a commitment to being your partner as we provide superb care for your child in every situation.

We're delighted that so many families have placed their trust in our family to care for their children from generation to generation. We look forward to caring for your child in the years to come.
