Dr. Mark is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 1982 he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with dual bachelor's degrees in biology and accounting. He received his medical degree in 1989 from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed his pediatrics residency in 1992 at the University of Virginia. Dr. Schlitt served at the Fort Defiance Indian Hospital on the Navajo Indian Reservation from 1992-1995, and then worked as a pediatrician at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, until joining Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2002. Dr. Schlitt is married and has three children. Mark has retired from coaching youth wrestling and soccer and is hoping to become an avid hiker
