Starting on the day of birth, we will visit your baby in the hospital every day. When you go home, we will follow a frequent checkup schedule that includes growth monitoring, vaccinations, and other important elements of infant health care.
When your child turns three, we will transition her to annual well-child visits. We also have daily appointment times open for sick-child needs, such as rashes, fevers, and other common childhood illnesses. We are available as required for specialized services including sports and camp physicals, as well as consultations for more complex behavioral or medical issues.
If your child must be hospitalized, we will focus on continuity of care. We are affiliated with multiple nearby hospitals, and we will work hand in hand with the hospital doctors and staff, as well as any needed specialists. We will also provide follow-up care as required after discharge. Hospitals with which we are associated include:
Dr. Ludwig Schlitt joined the practice in 1960, and we owe much of our growth and development to him. Though he is now retired from active patient care, Dr. Schlitt remains with the practice in an administrative capacity. Our team of pediatricians now includes three members of the next generation of Schlitts, along with two additional highly skilled doctors. We also have four tremendous nurse practitioners and a compassionate and experienced support team.
