Starting on the day of birth, we will visit your baby in the hospital every day. When you go home, we will follow a frequent checkup schedule that includes growth monitoring, vaccinations, and other important elements of infant health care.
When your child turns three, we will transition her to annual well-child visits. We also have daily appointment times open for sick-child needs, such as rashes, fevers, and other common childhood illnesses. We are available as required for specialized services including sports and camp physicals, as well as consultations for more complex behavioral or medical issues.
If your child must be hospitalized, we will focus on continuity of care. We are affiliated with multiple nearby hospitals, and we will work hand in hand with the hospital doctors and staff, as well as any needed specialists. The backbone of our team is Dr. Ludwig Schlitt, who joined the practice in 1960 and has played a huge role in guiding its development. Dr. Schlitt has retired from active patient care, but he remains with us in an administrative role. Our team now features three pediatricians who are members of the next generation of Schlitts, as well as two additional highly skilled pediatricians, four wonderful nurse practitioners, and a compassionate support team.
