We will see your new baby every day in the hospital, beginning on the day of birth. After release, we will schedule frequent visits for growth monitoring, immunizations, and other important infant healthcare services.
At the age of three, your child will transition to annual well-child visits. We hold appointments open daily for sick visits, including rashes, fevers, and other common childhood ailments. We are also available for camp and sports physicals and other specialized services, including consultations for complex medical or behavioral issues.
If your child requires hospitalization, we will promote continuity of care. We work closely with hospital doctors and staff, as well as any necessary specialists. After discharge, we will provide appropriate follow-up care. Hospitals with which we are affiliated include:
The backbone of our team is Dr. Ludwig Schlitt, who joined the practice in 1960 and has been extremely influential in guiding its growth. He is now retired from active patient care, but remains with us in an administrative capacity. Three of our pediatricians are from the next generation of the Schlitt family. They are joined by two additional highly skilled pediatricians, four tremendous nurse practitioners, and an experienced and compassionate support team.
